Gain Green

I tried this shadow in the Zombie Defense palette, but I thought it deserved it's own review. I was slightly worried this shade would look too cool-toned on me (I have light skin with olive undertone), but it looked really good. Depending on your application, it can act as a matte or a shimmer. The shimmer is subtle enough that you can use the shade in the crease and blend like a standard matte. The texture is on the drier side, but I think that's why it blends more like a matte. Alternatively, it can be applied wet or with a finger for more prominent shimmer. I got the best shimmer pay off by dipping in with a brush and then spraying it with setting spray. When dry, it is still very pigmented, the shimmer in it will just be more subtle. I think this versatility is really unique and would love to see more colors with this formula in the future.

This shade is so fun! Of course I love the name, but it has a sheen to it that is so pretty to put in the inner corner for an eye look. I usually don't go for more cool toned greens, but this surprised me with how much I liked it! I used my pinky go add this to my inner corner and I'd say that works best, it doesn't take a lot either which is a plus!
